It was with great interest that I read the article about Clarks and pavers being part of the comfort footwear revolution. Whilst I have purchased shoes through both companies for myself, I have struggled for many years to purchase footwear for my daughter who since being a small child has had quite large feet. Now aged almost 18, and with feet that need shoes somewhere between size 9 and 10, depending on the style, my daughter is frequently embarassed to go into shops where the assistants make disparaging comments and make jokes about the size we are requesting. Shoe companies tell parents that they should have their childrens feet measured regularly to ensure correct that they purchase the correct size shoes and yet they do not provide a range of shoes to cover the larger sizes. As a parent, I spent a fortune travelling to visit shoe shops all around the NW England in the hope of locating suitable school or more dressy shoes for my daughter, often to no avail. I hoped that as an adult the problem would ease but no, I was wrong. Whilst shoeshop.com does sell some size 10 shoes, they are mainly sandals which are not suitable for winter wear or are rather old fashioned.
When will shoe manufacturers realise that there is a need for them to produce a range of styles in larger sizes 9 , 9.5 , 10+? Clarks and Pavers along with other shoe manufacturers need to get their act together and think about all their potential customers, not just those who have the most frequent foot sizes. My daughter wants to be able to wear comfortable shoes and at the moment can only obtain shoes which are either too short or shoes which are far too long and often wide enough to be canal barges! Just because she has longer feet doesn't mean they are EEE in width. Her only other alternatives are trainers or pump types and these are not suitable to wear in her chosen career as a solicitor!
Any chance of anything being done to resolve this situation?

If those shoes in that photo are Hudson than I'm a Chinaman! They are nooooo way Hudson in fact Michael Bunce would be horrified at such a claim. You should take these lies down now before you upset more people!
