New 007 Daniel Craig has been sizing up to the role nicely in latest film The Quantum of Solace – with a pair of stacked shoes.

According to on-screen love interest Gemma Arterton, the superspy was forced to boost his stature with some modified footwear to match her height in stilettos.

In a recent interview the 22-year-old beauty said: “Daniel is 5ft 10in but when they put me in heels I was taller than him and it didnt look good on screen.

“Daniel had to wear shoes with a lift in them and stacked heel for a few scenes, but he took it very well. He thought it was funny.”

One man who might not share the joke however is trusty 007 gadget supplier Q. With James Bond swapping high-ballistic weaponry for a pair of high heels, could his job be under threat from TV style guru Gok Wan, we wonder?
