Robin Hood looks to add another string to bow
Speculation is mounting over who - if anyone - will fill the shoes of Robin Hood star Jonas Armstrong after the actor announced his departure from the popular BBC show this week.
The 27-year-old is keen to try his hand at other projects when he leaves Sherwood Forest at the end of the next series.
He says the time has come to "take on new challenges and look at new opportunities".
However, Armstrong maintains he will be forever indebted to BBC bosses for casting him as the mythical outlaw against the Sheriff of Nottinghams Keith Allen.
"Playing Robin Hood has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Over the last three years I have met some wonderful people and have only amazing memories to take with me," he explains.
Other TV stars making departure headlines recently include Emmerdales resident bad boy Matthew King, played by Matt Healy.
