Stars share shoes for charity
A galaxy of stars including Scarlett Johansson, Moby and Jessica Alba are doing their bit for developing countries by sending over free footwear.
The Lost in Translation actress has already pledged to donate 2,000 pairs through Soles4Souls to aid impoverished refugees in Sudan, reports ecorazzi.com.
This generous gesture will form part of the charitys latest campaign, dubbed the Million Pair March.
Founder Wayne Elsey explains the footwear feat will help change peoples lives "overnight".
He tells the news source: "Wearing shoes can stop hookworm infections, as well as cuts and puncture wounds from sharp objects that can result in permanent injury. It helps to end the cycle of pain."
Its not the first time this week the charity campaign has headlines – 19-year-old Dashiel Alsup, who hails from Colorado, has so far covered 1,600 miles of the American West on barefoot in his brave bid to publicise the organisations work.
