Finally, it seems the age-old problem of glamour Vs comfort looks set to be solved, thanks to Rollasoles, the brainchild of a Bristol entrepreneur.

Women will no longer have to choose between heels and flats for that big night out, as the Rollasole ensures they have the choice of both when the time comes to go home.

The shoes, which are available from vending machines for £5, are currently being tested in clubs across the UK, the BBC reported.

Rollasoles inventor Matt Horan explained: "The trial has gone well. We should be in 100 clubs by Christmas. Weve also got orders from Ibiza, New York and Melbourne."

He explained that the shoes "roll up very small" and each purchase includes another bag to "put your other painful heels in while you slip on the pumps".

A health and fitness expert recently warned in the Daily Mirror that wearing high heels too often could damage female fertility.
