Stars put best foot forward at Venice Film festival
This weeks Venice film festival attracted the cream of the celebrity crop as stars dusted down their gowns for the prestigious event.
An array of Hollywood celebrities turned out for the premiere of Valentino: The Last Emperor, a documentary about the fashion moguls last days as head of the popular label.
Terminator actress Claire Danes walked out in gold heels and a delicately embroidered dress, while English rose Liz Hurley turned heads in a full length pale gown.
Hurley, along with Rolling Stones front man Mick Jagger, had a cameo role in the documentary.
American actress Charlize Theron stood apart in a purple halter neck dress adorned with chunky jewels.
At the premiere, Valentino said one of his proudest moments was when Julia Roberts wore one of his gowns during her Erin Brockovich Academy Award acceptance speech.
The Venice film festival, which has been running since 1932, is the worlds oldest event of its kind and this year celebrates its 65th anniversary.
