The right time for shoe shopping
An American orthopedic surgeon has advised footwear fans on how to read the signs that a new pair of shoes is in order.
When it comes to choosing a good fit, many people will find their feet are not exactly the same size, said Dr Michael VanPelt of The University of Texas Medical Centre.
Going with the measurements of the bigger foot is usually a step in the right direction, the surgeon instructed.
Signs that a shoe shopping trip is on the cards include wear in the toe and weaknesses in the seams of footwear, UPI.com reported.
Mr VanPelt further commented: “Its best to shop for shoes in the afternoon or evening, because feet naturally swell during the course of a day.”
It seems selecting the perfect footwear has an added kick, as US shoe guru Donna Sozio recently claimed singletons can weigh up a dates personality by analysing their shoes, canoe.ca reported.
