Irish men get out the stilettos for beauty contest
Wexfords finest males will be tottering in their finest heels this weekend, competing for the accolade of the regions most beautiful chap.
The title of Miss Petal of Wexford is to be fought over by men in womens attire in order to raise money for charity, Wexfordpeople.ie reported.
Foulksmills Oak Tree pub will host the event, charging a modest five euros for admittance.
Proceeds for the event will go to Wexfords Our Lady of Fatima Special School.
Competitors will be judged on their ability to pull of both evening wear and casual wear.
Locals will no doubt be hoping the contestants have been working out for the flesh-flashing swim wear category.
A total of seven men have entered the competition.
Irish men are not the only ones to strut around in public, as a group of Idaho University students last month stepped around their campus in heels to raise awareness of violence against women, reported klewtv.com.
