Despite her shunning the new Batman film, Katie Holmes seems to have adopted some of the wardrobe tips from the blockbuster film.

The actress, who last week treated her daughter Suri to a day in New York, was spotted wearing black boots, a black and blue flowing cape and sunglasses while walking around the city this week.

While other celebrities have been spotted in killer heels and fetish shoes of late, Holmes seemed happy in her trusty flat black boots.

Holmes, aged 29, is currently rehearsing to star in Arthur Miller play All My Sons, which premieres on Broadway next month. She will act alongside 3rd Rock From The Sun star John Lithgow and Edward Scissorhands actress Dianne Wiest.

She has been rehearsing for 12 hours a day for her part as Ann Deever, it has been reported.

Following the success of Batman Begins, Katie Holmes declined to resume her part in the films sequel, committing her time instead to her child and wedding to husband Tom Cruise.
