Stars of US series Desperate Housewives have stood together in their finest heels to promote the new series of the show.

Posing for magazine TV Guide, the six actresses adopted a 1950s domesticated theme with a difference.

Turning the dreary domestic kitchen sink ethic on its head, the stars look distinctly glossy and glamorous on the magazine cover.

One theme running through the shoot was evidently killer heels, which all of the women sported. Marcia Cross, Teri Hatcher and Dana Delany went for the trusty black stiletto.

Eva Longoria Parker opted for the currently-hip bright white ankle boot, while Nicollette Sheridan stands in the background in golden heels.

Felicity Huffman matched her blonde retro curled locks with a vampish red skirt and shimmery towering stilettos.

In another photo shoot for the show last week, Nicollette Sheridan turned heads dressed in wedge heels and a leopard print swimsuit.
