Twelve female farmers have gone back to their natural roots for a calendar photo shoot.

In aid of charities within their sector, the cheeky twelve have abandoned all but their reliable wellies for a nude fund – and eyebrow- raising 2009 calendar.

Several of the green-fingered enthusiasts hail from the West Midlands, reported the sundaymercury.net.

One of the ladies poses with nothing but her wellies, a walking stick and a smile, while another opts for a rather risky beehive shot.

A more wintry image involves a naked reindeer ride while one lady farmer takes cover behind an unsuspecting donkey.

Maybe the horticulturists will follow in the footsteps of the now-famous Womens Institute members who shot to fame after posing nude for a calendar in 1999.

In 2003, their story was recounted in the hit film Calendar Girls which featured Julie Walters, Helen Mirren and Linda Bassett replicating the famous poses.
