Heads were turned in New York this week as ex-Spice girl Victoria Beckham turned out to promote her latest perfume.

Only, there seemed to be something missing from her outfit.

Instead of trying to beat her contemporaries in the high heels stakes, Victoria decided to go to the other extreme and cut them out of her boots altogether!

The £1,100 PVC thigh-high boots, designed by Antonio Berardi, feature a unique twist – they leave the wearers heels high and dry with no visible support underneath.

Already a celebrity favourite, Gwyneth Paltrow and Uma Thurman have also been spotted wearing the five-and-a-half-inch-high boots.

Speaking about his creations, Berardi previously said: “When you walk, it is almost on tiptoe. You look really dainty.”

Victoria has kicked up more than one fashion headline lately, as her new cropped haircut grabbed attention earlier this month.
