Minelli goes back to Cabaret days in knee-high boots
Liza Minelli, the actress who gave the Cabaret look its iconic status, has re-taken the stage after an unexpected performance during an Italian chat show.
Displaying her impressive legs in a pair of black low-heeled knee-high boots on the Porta A Porta show, the star proved she was ready and raring to go for her forthcoming Italian tour.
She even treated the audience to a sample of her famous voice, after which she collapsed onto a chair, kicking her legs up in the air, reported the Daily Mail.
Reminiscent of her role as singer/dancer Sally Bowles in 1972s Cabaret, she also dressed head-to-toe in black and sported a closely-cropped hairdo.
It seems older celebrities are holding their own against their younger counterparts of late – an example being fiery Liverpudlian Cilla Black, who strutted down the catwalk during London fashion week in an outfit featuring a top hat and a pair of black heels.
