Employees wear wellies to the office
Staff working at Ware Anthony Rust in Cambridge have pulled on their rubber boots to raise cash as part of national Welly Week.
The communications agency decided to jump in on the fun, while helping to whip up funds for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (Rabi), reported cambridgenetwork.co.uk.
A large welly has even been put to use at the reception area, where guests can pop a pound or two into the boot to kick up support for Rabi.
Some of the female staff jumped at the chance to hang up their heels for the day for a more down-to-earth alternative, explained the firms managing director Alison Meadows.
“There is no shortage of welly wearers at WAR and many of the ladies prefer them to high heels!”
She added that its “great” that the company is raising funds for charity “while at the same time having fun – and comfy feet!”
National Welly Week kicked off last Sunday and finishes on October 18th.
