Moneys too tight to mention as Hucknall sells Beckham boots
Vocalist Mick Hucknall may be left a little red-faced by a past decision to buy a pair of football boots that belonged to David Beckham.
The star bought the sporting footwear in 2002 at a charity auction for £29,000 and has now decided to give them the boot.
Beckhams former football boots have now been valued at £3,000 to £5,000 and will go under the hammer next Wednesday in Edinburgh.
A dedicated Manchester United Fan, Hucknall is selling the footwear as part of an attempt to cut down his collection of football memorabilia.
Among other items the Simply Red singer is selling off include England football shirts formerly belonging to Paul Ince and Paul Gascoigne.
Hucknall recently admitted to another of his enthusiasms – the UK Labour Party. The Telegraph reported that he claimed to have donated money to the Labour cause and stated that Gordon Brown should be given more of a chance in the tough economic climate.
