English actress Kate Winslet has appeared on the front of the latest edition of US magazine Vanity Fair flying the flag for killer heels and little else.

The front cover is dominated by Winslet looking glowing in gold heels with nothing but a long white coat draped over her shoulders.

Other photos from the shoot show her lying nude on a layer of fur sporting a pair of glamorous black high heels, proving she is very much in step with current fashions.

However, the chic photos have caused a stir amid allegations from UK newspaper The Daily Mail that the images were airbrushed.

A representative for Winslet responded to the claims: “She is in terrific shape and what you see is how she looks or she would never have agreed to pose for those shots.”

US actress Halle Berry has expressed her admiration for Winslet, saying she wishes she too had a “free” enough spirit to pose naked and be as comfortable with her own body.
