Abigail Clancy, wife of footballer Peter Crouch, has come up with a new way of giving her relationship a lift up.

The 22-year-old blonde model has ordered a pair of custom-made shoes in order to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with her towering partner.

Crouch, who currently pays for Portsmouth, stands at a dizzy six foot seven inches tall compared to his five foot nine-inch wife.

Clancys new shoes are to feature uplifts designed by footwear guru Kurt Geiger in order to prevent the neck ache brought about by reaching up to kiss her husband.

A source close to the model said she is “looking forward” to receiving the shoes and that they will be “black and glittery – a cheeky bonus”.

The Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards saw Clancy put in an appearance in a white satin gown alongside the likes of Olympic gold medalist Rebecca Adlington, Kim Cattrall and Dannii Minogue, Ok! Magazine reported.
