High heels for babies hit the UK
A range of high heels for babies have been made available for UK consumers, it has been reported.
The firm Heelarious was founded after a mother is the US came up with the idea and entered into a business partnership with a friend to get the footwear for tots manufactured.
Only available for sale in America up until now, the heels – which are simply squashy extensions to a slipper-like shoe – are designed for children aged up to six months.
Julia Taylor, a 36-year old from Bexley in Kent, has bagged the rights to sell the shoes this side of the Atlantic.
They come in a range of colours and patterns, such as black, pink leopard print and zebra print.
One celebrity who is a self-confessed fan of high heels is Victoria Beckham, who researchers from Manchester Metropolitan University recently claimed would be the perfect candidate for a high heel study.
