Shoe fans will not be disappointed to learn that during a recent double-family outing in New York, Victoria Beckham did not abandon her usual penchant for towering heels.

She opted for a pair of black killer Louboutins and zipped leggings, while Katie Holmes fended off the mud and wind in a pair of brown suede boots.

The two families walked through New Yorks Central Park, visited a Manhattan circus and took a ride in a horse-pulled carriage during the day.

This outing comes after allegations that the families have fallen out of late due to religion-based concerns and fashion rivalry between Victoria and Katie.

David Beckhams home town of Manchester saw its fair share of shoe action this week when Sophie, Countess of Wales, indulged in a heel repair during a visit to Timpsons headquarters.
