A pair of Australians who were disappointed by the lack of waterproof protection their beloved Ugg boots offered, have come up with a hybrid of their two favouite types of shoes.

The two, who love to travel but also keep their feet warm and dry at the same time, have invented the MoovBoot, a shoe that combines the comfort of Uggs with the practicalities of wellies.

They are waterproof on the exterior but hide a comfy sheepskin-lined interior for those ladies who like to walk in comfort but avoid the perils of puddles.

However, it is arguable whether they will claim the same attention as the famous Australian-designed Ugg.

As the cold weather sets in, celebrities in both the UK and across the pond have been seen wearing the bulky Ugg boot – from Bruce Willis and Brad Pitt to Lily Allen and Jason Donovan.

In similar news, a new Ugg boot shop was opened in Londons trendy Convent Garden this week and attracted the likes of Tamzin Outhwaite, Pearl Lowe and Martin Freeman.
