Actress Jennifer Aniston demonstrated the timeless powers of the little black dress as she lit up the red carpet yesterday during the premiere of her new film.

Like her peers Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie, Aniston showed her love for a glamorous peep-toe shoe with some glossy black heels.

Her strapless, layered little black dress showed off her trademark tan and long brown locks.

The Along Came Polly star, who will turn 40 in 2009, was promoting comedy Marley & Me with co-star Owen Wilson in Los Angeles.

Last week, Aniston admitted during a USA Today interview that though she loves her pet dogs, she puts her foot down when it comes to them chewing her shoes.

She said of her dog: “One time I saw her with a shoe in her mouth and that habit ended right there.”
