Singer Christina Aguilera celebrated her birthday in a somewhat unusual style this week.

Adopting a Clockwork Orange theme, the star stepped out in calf-high black boots for her 28th birthday in Los Angeles.

She matched them with a white outfit, braces and one eye painted in glittery blue.

It seems the star wanted an unusual way to celebrate her birthday and found it in paying homage to the classic 1971 Stanley Kubrick film.

Her husband Jordan Bratman also donned similar fancy dress for the occasion as the pair dined at the Osteria Mozza restaurant.

Other stars present at the event were friends Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton, who shunned the fancy dress for their usual stylish looks.
