It seems that even Hollywood stars have days off from looking glamorous as Gwyneth Paltrow has chosen to avoid designer sky-scraper heels and don something a little more comfortable for a day out.

As the Oscar-winning actress braved the cold London weather, she opted for a chunky pair of black, flat soled boots instead of the mega-high heels she has increasingly been wearing of late.

She teamed her boots with rolled up, grey combat trousers, a stripy jumper and a plain black jacket, the Daily Mail reports.

Gwyneth is often seen on the red carpet in mini dresses and heels which are bang on trend as designers seem to be making their shoes higher and higher.

Earlier this month, Gwyneth was spotted sporting a pair of lace-up wellies when she paid a visit to the York and Albany pub in London with a friend.
