School kicks up a fuss over Kicker shoes
A girl was sent home from school and missed afternoon lessons because she has pink stitching on her black Kickers shoes.
Stacey Pearson, who attends Christ Church secondary in Ashford, Kent, has worn the flat black Kickers since September without complaint.
However, since the school stepped up its uniform policy, she has now been told she cannot come to lessons sporting the footwear.
Stacey was told by the schools pastoral support manager she could either go home, change into black plimsolls, or use a black marker pen to colour in the tiny stitching on her Kickers.
He mother, Tracey Ring, said: "This is so petty.
"It is absolutely disgusting that pupils should be sent home and miss an afternoon of school for wearing the wrong shoes."
Meanwhile, thisissouthwales.co.uk has previously stressed the importance of having a good quality pair of shoes when partaking in any exercise.
