A pair of converse trainers has been suggested as the ideal item for footwear for walks in the park or strolling around the sunny streets as spring arrives.

Despite being popular all year round, Converse trainers may be even more suited to the warmer weather because of their easy-to-wear and comfy style, according to Kids Footlocker.

Jeanine Zocks, vice president of marketing for the company, said: "Even with its year-round appeal, the Converse Chuck Taylor has become a springtime favorite with its lightweight canvas upper, stylish colors and updated detailing."

They may be even more popular at the moment, as new versions of both the high and low-top styles are being launched featuring new treatments and colour coordinating laces.

Meanwhile, Madonna was recently seen sporting a pair of Converse when she dressed up as a school girl for a fancy dress party at the Kabbalah centre in New York to celebrate the Jewish celebration of Purim.
