It seems as though Billie Piper may be a little out of practice when it comes to wearing high heels, if recent photographs are anything to go by.

The 26-year-old actress was pictured on a dinner date with husband Lawrence Fox at the classy Scotts restaurant in Mayfair, London.

Billie, who has a five-month-old son with her husband, began the night in a pair of black sky-scraper stilettos featuring a bright pink sole.

However, it would appear as though the heels were too much for her as she emerged from the restaurant carrying her shoes and elected to walk bare-foot on the pavement.

Speaking about life since the birth of her son, Winston, Billie said: "I had absolutely no idea how tiring being a mum was – or how hard mums have to work."

Another celebrity who decided against mega-heels recently was Lily Allen, who wore a pair of Reebok trainers for a recent performance in Dublin.
