One florist has revealed which item of footwear she always has ready and waiting when she needs a fall-back pair of shoes.

Speaking to the Times, Victoria Brotherson has admitted that "clean converse trainers" are what she reaches for if the rest of her outfit is looking a little less polished.

Ms Brotherson explained: "They make me feel pulled together as Im so used to having scruffy feet. Its all the floral offcuts that do it."

She continued by revealing some of her other favourites when it comes to making the all-important footwear choice in the morning.

Ms Brotherson said that a typical fashion day in her life would consist of "Gap or Levis jeans, American Apparel T-shirts, Brora cardigans, Uggs, Birkenstocks or Converses".

"Its a 4.30 am lucky dip," she added.

According to the Examiner, a pair of Converse trainers are the perfect accessory to "complete any shorts and t-shirt combination" this spring.
