It has been announced that Nicole Richie is to design a range of shoes for her House of Harlow accessories collection.

The footwear will be launched in the US next spring and it is said that the 27-year-old will have complete creative control over the creations.

Nicoles House of Harlow 1960 range, which is named after her one-year-old daughter Harlow Winter, is already selling well in the US.

Around 20 pairs of shoes will be added to the 2010 collection along with bags, belts and small accessories.

The reality TV star will be partnered by Modern Vintage shoes and Earnest Sewn jeans to create her funky footwear.

Rick Cytrynbaum, who co-owns the designer labels, said: “Nicole is designing everything herself. Shes totally devoted to this and were creating a whole lifestyle around her aesthetic and what is true to her.”

Last month, it was also announced that Nicole will be launching her own maternity clothing line.
