Peaches and Pixie Geldof may be known for their experimental and scruffy approach to fashion, but towering peep-toe platform shoes helped to complete a more glamorous look for the sisters recently.

The pair made an appearance at a star-studded Gucci party held at the Saatchi gallery in London.

However, instead of their usual grungy leathers and short dresses, they both chose floor-length scarlet gowns which gathered at the hip.

These were accessorised with a long crucifix necklace for Pixie and a pendant for Peaches, with both girls adding some extra inches in sky-high platform peep-toe heels.

It seems as though Peaches, 20, was particularly pleased with her look, as she told her Twitter fans: “I felt like it was prom night when I put it on. In a good way!”

Last month, Peaches was photographed in a more ill-fitting pair of wooden heels which looked as though they were several sizes too big, according to the Daily Mail.
