Christian Louboutin kitten heels got the official seal of approval from Frances first lady recently.

Carla Bruni chose a classic black pair of the shoes, complete with their distinctive red sole, to match a dark blue Christian Dior dress as she met with Princess Letizia of Spain this week, the Daily Mail reports.

With a price tag of around £320, the Louboutins may have been the perfect choice for a lunch-time shoe, before the women both changed into stunning evening dresses to attend a gala dinner hosted by the Spanish royal family.

Although Ms Bruni chose her signature low heels for the visit, Princess Letizia was a little more daring and opted for a towering pair of pink heels to match her fitted cerise dress.

A pair of Louboutin heels were also favoured by Coleen Rooney at the weekend, as she wore a pair to the celebrations she organised for her fathers birthday, the same news provider relayed.
