Website offers recycling for Crocs shoes
Recycling and hunting around in charity shops may be higher on the agenda for many people as the recession continues in the UK.
Now, it seems as though there may also be a solution for shoe-lovers who want to do their bit in the form of a new website which recycles Crocs.
Business Management Daily reports that SolesUnited.com allows people to send in their old Crocs so that they can be ground down into material for a new item of fancy footwear.
These are then distributed to people who are in need of shoes.
If that wasnt enough, Crocs fans pining after the pair they donated could replace them with a new set of the shoes made from recycled material, so they can be confident that they are doing their bit while still keeping their feet comfy.
Crocs were first invented as a boating or outdoor shoe because of their slip resistant sole.
