Hush Puppies has revealed that wedges and trainers will be among its new designs hitting stores next year.

The brand – which is famed for its comfortshoes – will be bringing out the Madera sculpted wedge heel, the Split Second womans sports shoe and hand-sewn Viva Mocs, along with various other styles.

Dani Zizak, Hush Puppies vice-president of global markets, told MLive.com that the company has been monitoring the market and believes that there is a hunger for footwear that marries fashion with comfort.

“We still look to fashion trends but also pay close attention to consumer trends because that is ultimately what impacts buying decisions,” she said, adding that the new range will see Hush Puppies moving upmarket.

In other Hush Puppies news, the manufacturer will be sponsoring next months Shoe Spectacular in London.

There will be a Hush Puppies mini-fashion show at the event, which takes place on June 5th at the Charing Cross Hotel.
