Adidas has announced the reissue of its Greenstar trainers – a must-have for fans of the brands retro styles.

As part of Adidas 60 Years of Soles and Stripes campaign, the firm will be reintroducing the “simple and sleek” style of the iconic Greenstar.

Sure to be a hit with those inspired by the brands Gazelle and Samba series, the new Greenstar is a one-to-one replication of the 1970 model.

Notable for its suede uppers, white stripes and gum soles, the trainers will be available in three colours – black, umber and bluebird – and will retail at £55.

Commenting on its campaign of reissues, Adidas said: “These celebrate the brands pitch and terrace domination, with premium takes on classics, accompanied by new designs that take timeless cues from a proud past.”

Adidas has been pioneering the retro sportswear revival for almost two decades now, with its iconic three stripes a frequent site on the feet of musicians, skateboarders and football fans, among many others.
