Vans trainers get the Mastodon touch
Several pairs of Vans trainers bearing designs by metal band Mastodon are to go on sale shortly.
Vans trainers are a staple part of the wardrobe of any self-respecting skateboarder – and the latest collections are sure to be in demand due to their limited run.
Each of the trainers will feature artwork from Mastodons Blood Mountain album, created by the bands Paul Romano.
Apparently, Vans is Mastodons "favourite active lifestyle company" so they were more than happy to team up with the footwear firm.
The limited edition Mastodon Vans are set for a July release and will come in four styles, two of which are hi-top and the others slip-on.
Meanwhile, Mastodon are previewing the "mini-epic" video for their song Oblivion, taken from their latest album Crack the Skye.
The group are currently in the middle of a lengthy European tour that will see them playing a host of leading festivals.
