Kanye West Nike trainers cause queues
The launch of limited edition Nike trainers designed by rapper Kanye West have caused long queues at two shops in London.
A number of fans even slept rough for five nights to ensure that they managed to get some of the new shoes from Size? on Neil Street in Soho and Nike Town in Shoreditch, as just 40 pairs were available from the two outlets, the Daily Star reports.
“Kanye looked at all the Nike trainers ever made and grabbed all the best bits,” shop supervisor Michael Ramirez told the news source.
The 31-year-old US music star chose a series of design features on the new trainers, which cost around £150 each.
Kanye West worked as a producer at Roc-A-Fella Records, working with Jay-Z among others before launching his own successful solo career.
He released his debut album The College Dropout in 2004 and now runs GOOD Music, his own record label.
