One Australian soap star has spoken out about why she is so excited to be announced as the new face of Skechers trainers.

Jessica Tovey plays the role of Belle Taylor in Channel Fives Home and Away and although on-screen her character is having a traumatic time of late, things couldnt be more different in real life.

The actress is the new star of Skechers footwear adverts – something the 21-year-old says she is very pleased about.

“Skechers always have such cool chicks in their ad campaigns, like Ashlee Simpson and Carrie Underwood, so I was excited to be asked,” stated Ms Tovey.

She added: “Its also great because I get all the latest looks from Skechers to wear.”

Earlier this month, the footwear manufacturer revealed its new range of shoes called Shape Ups. The brand claims that they optimise exercise by imitating the feeling of walking barefoot for the wearer.
