Converse get the Missoni designer chevron stripe treatment
Designer high street collaborations often prove to be successful ventures and the latest from classic trainer brand Converse is likely to be no exception.
The shoe manufacturer has teamed up with world-famous Italian designer Missoni to create a new style of iconic trainers.
They were premiered at the fashion houses menswear spring/summer 2010 show in Milan on Saturday, much to the delight of fashionistas and trainer-lovers around the globe.
According to WWD, the fancy footwear will be called Premium Chuck Hi Missoni and will be produced and distributed by Converse.
They feature the classic high-top style decorated with the designers famous multi-coloured chevron zig-zag pattern.
Before the show began, Tai Missoni, head of the family-run label, was spotted strutting around in a pair of the comfy and fashionable footwear.
Converse has done many collaborations over the years and at the beginning of 2009 announced a new range of trainers featuring graphics inspired by classic British rocks stars Pink Floyd, The Who and Ozzy Osbourne.
