Classic suede Adidas trainers get bright and bold reissue
Fans of retro trainers and original designs may be pleased to hear that Adidas programme to reissue classic footwear appears to be continuing.
The latest trainer to be given a make-over is the Adidas Samba in suede.
According to Retro To Go, the shoe was originally developed in the 1960s as a football boot suitable for hard ground.
As time went on it was increasingly used for indoor purposes and became fashionable for everyday wear as the 1970s and 1980s wore on.
The website states that the suede reissue has a more casual feel than the original sportswear and features a vulcanised rubber sole.
It is also available in two bright and bold colour schemes – orange and blue or green and black – both of which have trademark three stripes that Adidas is so famous for.
Recently, the Financial Times reported that Adidas is planning an overhaul of fellow sports brand Reebok in order to change its image.
