One woman has decided to swap her glamorous lifestyle as the boss of a well-known retailer for a pair of Dr Martens.

Relaying her story to the Daily Mail, Tessa Hainsworth describes how she left her job as UK marketing manager for The Body Shop and the posh London lifestyle that accompanied it.

Now she has relocated to Cornwall and taken up her new position as a postwoman – complete with a trusty pair of Dr Martens for all the walking she has to do.

Ms Hainsworth explains that in her former role, she wore "smart and stylish" clothes and always had on-trend haircuts.

"Now here I was, the posh postie as the locals called me, soaked to the skin in baggy dark blue trousers, Dr Martens boots and a shapeless navy fleece, all branded with the Royal Mails bright red insignia," she continues.

Dr Martens are not only popular with postwomen, however, as many celebrities including Pixie Geldof and Agyness Dyen, are fans of the boots.
