The sun is shining and summer is here, which means that many people are probably looking for the perfect pair of trainers.

According to one website this is a pair of Vans trainers as they perfectly encapsulate the 80s revival currently occurring in the world of fashion.

RocNow.com explains that the bright colours which defined the decade can be found in many of the designs featured on the skating footwear.

The site describes one lace-up version of the canvas shoe as coming in a "Skittles-like variety of colours including citrus orange and Kelly green".

Last week, it was reported that a new range of Vans trainers featuring designs by metal band Mastodon are set to go on sale in July.
