The phrase “like mother, like daughter” springs to mind following the publication of photos of Helena Bonham Carter and her daughter Nell strolling around London.

Both are sporting a combination of Victorian-style bloomers and loose smock tops, with the 18-month-old child wearing a bright pair of Crocs as part of her ensemble.

Pictures published by the Daily Mail show Nell looking cute in a vibrant red pair of the comfortable shoes, while her mother sported slouchy socks and black shoes with a strange shaped heel.

Discussing her unusual taste in fashion on a previous occasion, Helena said: “Im just not conservative. I dress according to what I like. And Im not a mannequin.”

Judging by these latest photos, her daughter may be set to inherit her eccentric taste in clothing.

Helena is married to Tim Burton, the film producer and director well known for his unusual and often slightly gothic-inspired films.

These include Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas and, more recently, Sweeney Todd.
