New Nike trainers launched as worn by Serena Williams
Nike has launched a new running shoe to the general public that has been given the seal of approval by tennis ace Serena Williams.
The LunarGlide+ is claimed by the brand to be its most advanced yet and uses technology developed for the aerospace industry.
According to the Daily Mail, they are worn by many top athletes and Serena Williams has given the trainers a thumbs up – wearing them to train in the run-up to Wimbledon.
The shoes will be launched today (July 1st) and the news provider adds that they hold “the midsole of the foot with Dynamic Support – a patent-pending system that is said to adapt to a runner’s gait with each step”.
They were previously developed in time for the 2008 Beijing Olympics so that the worlds sports stars could take advantage of the technology during the games.
In related news, Leonardo DiCaprio recently had a pair of Nike trainers stolen by fans when he visited a temple in Japan recently.
