Swap flip-flops for Crocs this summer
A comfortable pair of Crocs are far better for the feet than flip-flops and many summer sandals, experts claim.
The St Petersburg Times reports that wearing flip-flops all year round – not just on the beach – is becoming increasingly trendy.
However, this can pose health risks as, according to foot specialists, they offer no arch support and cause people to walk incorrectly.
This is because they are only intended to be worn to traverse small distances, not for getting to and from work or for a day of shopping.
It is likely that many people will not want to wear heavy winter shoes in the warmer months, so the news provider does offer an alternative.
“Birkenstocks and Crocs are also better choices for people who cant stand to wear socks and shoes in the summer,” it notes.
Crocs recently launched its new Prepair Collection, a range designed for athletes to reduce the pain caused by muscle fatigue.
