One young musician has revealed just why he loves Vans trainers so much.

Speaking to Click, Sam Halliday from the band Twenty Twenty, divulged that although he rarely gets obsessed by anything, he does love his Vans slip-on trainers.

He explained that whenever he goes past a shop selling the shoes he always has to go in and look at the latest designs.

However, not everyone is always as keen on his choice of trainers as he is.

Sam said: “I was wearing a grey pair with a tartan design and got ribbed for it, someone said they looked like grandad shoes. I was quite offended as I think they look cool, Ill still wear them proudly.”

He also admitted that although he does not have much money, he cant help but look at new clothes to buy.

It seems as though Twenty Twenty are not the only band who like Vans trainers, as metal group Mastodon have contributed artwork to the brand – and it will feature on a new range from the company.
