The Babyshambles and Libertines frontman popped into a Fred Perry store recently to pick up some new garments, the Daily Star reports.

A source told the newspaper that the singer-songwriter, who became a tabloid sensation due to his turbulent relationship with former lover Kate Moss, picked up £1,000 worth of classic clobber, only to realise that hed left his wallet at home.

He called a friend who quickly brought around a credit card, but this was declined, the source claimed, meaning that Doherty had to leave without his haul.

Perhaps next time Doherty wants to pick up some new Fred Perry pumps or t-shirts hell opt for the convenience of online stores.
