Circa Shoes has signed up the design talents of King Diamond, frontman with Danish heavy metal band Mercyful Fate, for a new range of trainers that could be released this winter.

An agreement has been reached with the singer for a line that could include two designs – Abigail and Dont Break the Oath.

And that may not be the end of the collaboration. Plans are also afoot for some more King Diamond-inspired Circa trainers, with designs already unveiled for Them and 9 – models which could hit stores in the spring of next year.

King Diamond was a founding member of Mercyful Fate, having previously served in Brainstorm and Black Rose.

Born in 1956, his real name is Kim Bendix Petersen and he now lives in Dallas, Texas.

Circa trainers are a hit with the skateboarding community, with Tony Tave one of the most famous boarders to be associated with the brand.
