Vans showcases Dimmu Borgir trainers
Shoe brand Vans have hosted a raffle to mark the launch of a new trainer featuring the artwork of Dimmu Borgir.
The symphonic black metal band were the inspiration for a special pair of custom-made pumps designed by Vans Matt Shipman which were raffled off at the San Diego Comic-Con.
Shipman, who collaborated with Nuclear Blast Records to create the trainers, described it as an honour to be able to work with the band and the well-respected label.
“I look forward to doing more projects with Vans and Nuclear Blast in the future,” he said, while the black metal powerhouses guitarist Silenoz expressed doubt as to whether any other company would be able to do a Dimmu Borgir shoe justice.
Meanwhile, another musician with a penchant for Vans shoes was revealed earlier this month.
The lead singer of the band Twenty Twenty told Click that he loves his Vans slip-on trainers.
