Robert Pattinson was spotted sporting a pair of Birkenstock shoes during filming in New York City.

The 23-year-old Remember Me star was clad in Birkenstock pumps and a Yankees cap for his trip to John F Kennedy airport to catch a flight, website JustJared.com reported.

Emerging as something of a heart-throb, Pattinson, who was drinking a can of Coca-Cola, may be admired by the likes of Latino stunner Shakira, who recently admitted in an interview with MTV that she was attracted to the Brit.

“Ive heard hes a great singer and a great musician. If those rumours are true – yeah, of course, why not?” she said, when asked about a possible collaboration taking place between the two.

She joked however that the music channel was trying to get her into trouble in suggesting the possibility of a future romance.
