Skechers launches website dedicated to Shape Ups shoes
Skechers has launched a new website for its new Shape Ups trainers, in order to give web users detailed information regarding the latest fitness footwear from the firm.
As the idea of a workout shoe which tones and strengthens the legs, buttocks, back and abs by mimicking the effects of barefoot walking may have seemed too good to be true for many, the footwear manufacturer felt that an unofficial guide to buying the shoes online was necessary.
To confirm the benefits of their Shape Ups, the company recently commissioned a US scientist to conduct an independent clinical case study of the shoes, which discovered that ten women – who wore the trainers for an increasing amount of time during their daily activities across a six-week period – displayed improvement in posture, physical strength and weight loss.
The news comes after a fitness expert wrote in the Examiner recently that those who “have some extra money to spend and want to build, tone and strengthen your calves and legs without doing anything different than walking or your normal workout [should] give these shoes a try”.
