Scholl flip flops are healthy for the feet
Shoes company Scholls Orthaheel Flip Flop is one option for those shopping for slippers, as foot experts from one website have advised shoppers to look out for slippers with a “contoured supportive footbed” as opposed to a flat one.
According to AsiaOne, flip flops that do not have a supportive footbed do not cradle the foot well, causing it to arch, flatten and collapse, which can in turn result in postural problems.
Wedges that are too high push weight on to the ball of the foot, as high heels do, whereas mid-height wedges are good for womens feet as they support the arch region, it advises.
“In choosing footwear, it is important to choose shoes with good heel and arch support to assist overall foot and leg posture,” it said, adding that ladies should not let the price tag scare them when searching for quality footwear.
Scholls Orthaheel toe-post sandals are available in three different colours.
